For Students:
Rice students are allowed to request a 1-year copy of ArcView 9.1 (with extensions) to learn GIS, do research, or to complete their course work. To obtain the software, you have three options:- Ask your professor (if doing GIS coursework/research) to submit a request for software at www.esri.com/slpromo
- Submit a problem to helpdesk@rice.edu and ask for an individual copy of ArcView 9.1 (w/ extensions). A divisional IT representative should be able to help you get the software and install it
- Come to the GIS/Data Center
Please keep in mind that the 1-year license will eventually time-out, at that time you can request another 1-year license. This is a good way to keep software updated.
