The Brown Fine Arts Collection
The Brown Fine Arts Library is located on the 3rd floor of Fondren Library. It contains over 190,000 volumes related to art, architecture, classical archaeology and music. All library patrons are welcome to the use of fine arts materials and facilities, including listening equipment, VHS, DVD and laserdisc players. Please contact the art/architecture and music librarians for reference or research assistance.
- Scores, books, the fine arts reference collection, and current and back issues of periodicals are shelved in the Brown Fine Arts Library.
- Brown Fine Arts course reserves are available at the first floor circulation/reserves desk. Sound and video recording collections are also located at the circulation desk.
- Listening and video equipment are available on both the third and first floors.
- New books and scores are on "new books" shelves in the Brown Fine Arts Library and are browsable through the 'new booklist' function in Webcat.
- Rare fine arts materials and art oversized materials are kept at the off-campus Library Service Center, where they may easily be paged using these directions.
- Selected rare art and music materials have moved to the Woodson Research Center on the first floor of the library.
