My Library Account
Access your personal library account online to keep up with your account status, renew books, and more. The following options are available:
- Renew books
- See what you have currently checked out and when your items are due
- See if a book has been recalled for you
- See if a recall or hold has arrived for you
- View fines and unpaid bills
- Place a recall or hold on a book checked out to another borrower
- Change your PIN.
Getting your PIN:
- Visit the circulation desk
- Email the circulation desk at circ@rice.edu
- Call the circulation desk: 713 348 4021
Accessing your Account:
- Visit the Fondren Library Catalog and click on User Services. You can then choose from:
- -User Status Inquiry
- -Renew My Materials
- -User PIN Change
- When prompted:
- Either enter your Rice ID # or Rice NetID and PIN
- For Rice students, your ID # is the same as your Student ID # except that the first digit is a 0, not the letter S
- For non-Rice-affiliated borrowers, your Rice ID # is on the front or back of your card. Enter the string of digits with no spaces.
- If using Rice ID # leave the Rice NetID field blank.
- OR, for those with Rice ID cards, enter your Rice NetID. In this case leave the Rice ID # field blank.
- Enter your PIN.
If you renew materials, verify that they were successfully renewed
by reviewing everything charged to you.
