Library Service Center - History
In March 2002, the Buildings and Grounds Committee of the William Marsh Rice University Board of Trustees approved the construction of a permanent off-site library service center.
Carlos Jimenez was selected to provide master planning consulting services and design services for the project. Kendall/Heaton served as project architect and SpawMaxwell as general contractor the the library service center.
A broad cross section of library and university staff were involved in planning for implementation of the facility.
Construction of the facility began in February 2003 and was completed in March 2004.
